Hola! I'm Jen and I'm from Los Angeles, but currently living in Spokane, WA. I am passionate about sharing historic preservation knowledge and practices, so that we can preserve our cultura for future generations. I currently write about Chicanas in Los Angeles for my dissertation. On the weekends, I love to spend my time baking or sewing.
Hi! My name is Patricia Zarate Singletary. I live in my hometown of Tallahassee, FL and I am 5th generation Floridian. My paternal grandmother's family immigrated from Cuba to work in the cigar factories in Ybor City, Tampa. My mother's family is Mexican-American and lives out west in Wyoming and Colorado. I love sharing local history, especially information about the civil rights movement in Florida and throughout the south. Currently learning more about the Latine history that exists in this region outside of well-known areas, like Miami. Happy to be here!
Saludos a todxs! My name is Hillary, and I’m a proud Boricua living in Ohio. As a trained preservation architect, I’m passionate about grassroots preservation and helping communities protect the places that matter most to them. Whether you need support documenting, restoring, or saving a historic building, I’m here to help! I love old buildings, antique and apothecary shops, and uncovering historic fun facts and untold stories, or should I say chismes (because let’s be real, they’re the same thing! 😆). Excited to connect!
Wepa! I'm Jennifer and I'm from Puerto Rico, currently living in South Dakota. I'm a fierce advocate for arts and culture (especially literature and music) to be used as tools to preserve our stories, especially through poetry, books, music, nature conservation, and the preservation of indigenous and cultural spiritual practices.
Qué tal, I'm René from the Rio Grande Valley on the South Texas/North México borderlands. Soy todo un fronterizo and interested in cultural heritage projects, historic preservation, music, bicycles, museums, sports, and more.
